When I Scott Sagum started as Assistant Airport Superintendent IV February 17, 2009. Tim Skinner was the Airport Security Coordinator, and under his great direction LIH amassed over $200,000.00 in Civil
penalties for security breeches. I became the ASC in August 2009 and under me LIH security was not perfect, in fact we got $39,000.00 in penalties, Senator Donna Kim Mercado began holding senate hearings to attempt to blame Brian Sekiguchi. It was stated in the hearings that two consultants were hired to helpLIH fix the security problems. senator kim declared that nothing was fixed as there was $75,000.00 in penalties after the arrival of consultant #1. However, this $75,000.00 was payment against the already assessed $203,000.00 in penalties, NOT nw infractions. Another interesting note: senator Kim made it a point to smear the consultant #1, but NOT consultant #2, Why? could it be because he is her ex-husband? Slightly suspect. Meanwhile, bacl at the scene. Tim Skinner is pulling all kinds of unethical,illegal stunts that ADM George Crabbe does not address because he claims Skinner is brilliant! The $203,000.00 in penalties prompts DOTA to have a meeting with TSA legal counsel to ask for reductions. This meeting is attended by Skinner, Roy Sakata, Sydney Hayakawa, Dweputy Attyorney General,Laura Kim-Nugent, ADM George Crabbe. They were able to get the fines reduced. Funny thing though, when there was a conference for the $39,000.00 in fines incurred under My watch, there was on ONE representative from the State:ME!!! But yet they want to say that I am not qualified to do the job! go figure.
